Academic Challenge Team

About the Team

The Academic Challenge Team or Quiz Bowl team competes across Kansas in a variety of tournaments throughout the school year.  Quiz tournament formats include NAQT and the Kansas Academic Excellence Challenge format, based closely on the NAQT format.  Coffeyville Community College has won four state championships in the Academic Challenge Format: 1986, 1991, 1993 and 2017.  

Eligibility

Any CCC student is eligible to participate.  To participate in inter-collegiate competitions, students must be enrolled in six hours in the semester participating and have no more than 72 earned total hours in their college career.  A 2.0 career grade point average or above is also required.
