Are Online Classes right for me?

If you are able to answer "yes" to all of the above questions, then Coffeyville Community College's online course offerings may be right for you. The online class experience does offer the student the flexibility of accessing the course and course subject matter at convenient times and locations.
How are online courses offered at CCC?
Online courses at CCC are offered using Brightspace an online course platform. Access into the Brightspace software is accessible from our main college website through the Brightspace link.
Online Course Guidelines
Students in Online classes will gain access into their online classes beginning the first scheduled day of class.
Brightspace Recommendations and Requirements
Brightspace is accessible through any device with internet access (Phone, Tablet, Computer).
While a brand-new PC is not required to take online courses, a reliable PC less than five years old is recommended. High speed service such as provided via cable or DSL is highly recommended.
Some classes may require the use of a Webcam (ex: SPCH 111 or classes that use Proctoring services). Computers are available for use in the Student Success Center.
For an optimal experience that offers better performance, accessibility, and security, Brightspace recommends that all users access Brightspace with the latest version of a supported browser.
Note: By default, most browsers automatically update to the latest version. To ensure you are always running the latest browser version, Brightspace recommends that you set your browser to auto-update.
Brightspace is committed to performing key application testing to ensure that Brightspace performs as expected when new browser versions are released. Brightspace requires your browser to enable both JavaScript and cookies.
You must be able to use a web browser. You must be able to use email. You must be able to use a word processing program such as Microsoft Word. If you do not possess these skills, online courses are not recommended.
