Coffeyville Community College students created over 250 valentines in the first annual Give A Heart project that ran from February 10–14.
CCC students had the opportunity to decorate and personalize heart-shaped valentines for residents of area nursing homes and assisted living centers. Students from Phi Theta Kappa and the CCC Cheer Team along with the CCC mascot delivered the valentines on February 14 to five area facilities.
“This project was a great opportunity for our students to see how one small gesture can have a big impact,” said Yvonne Hull, Senior Director of College Relations, Marketing and Recruitment. “We look forward to continuing this initiative next year and growing it into a larger service campaign for our students.”
