Coffeyville Community College will host high school seniors from area high schools who are interested in attending college on November 8th at their annual Senior Day. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Nellis Hall on the main campus of CCC. Students will explore over 25 academic programs, activities and educational exhibits.
Interactive exhibits provided at Senior Day include pottery wheels, cow heart dissection, making corn husk dolls, zombie makeup and a chemistry experiment to create nylon. Both technical and traditional educational programs will be available to discuss career options and educational goals with the students.
“Senior Day is a great opportunity for students to come learn more about what CCC has to offer. They can explore our technical programs like Construction, Nursing or EMT/Paramedic. Or they can talk with our Marketing Instructor about career options and our Dance Coach about scholarships,” said Director of Marketing & Recruiting Lisa Kuehn. “Overall it is a great event for high school seniors trying to make some big decisions for that next step in their lives.”
Students will enjoy performances by the Red Raven Spirit Squads, CCC Band, Raven Soundsations and Rubber Chicken Factory Improv Comedy Troupe. One lucky student will win a pair of Beats by Dre headphones at the closing performance of the day. Lunch is provided for students.
