Marlon Thornburg was named Citizen of the Year at the Coffeyville Chamber Annual Banquet on January 26, 2012. Thornburg was recognized for not only his dedication to Coffeyville Community College, but also his service and commitment to the community. Marlon has been active with the Chamber of Commerce for several years on various committees and has also served as Chairman. His leadership helped Coffeyville earn the Kansas Main Street designation and establish Downtown Coffeyville. He also serves on the Community Elementary School Board Foundation, the CRMC Foundation Board, Leadership Coffeyville Board and continues to offer great support to the CCC Foundation. In his spare time, Marlon coaches baseball, basketball and soccer for the Coffeyville Recreation Commission.
