The songs and history of the Erie Canal in upstate New York will take center stage on Tuesday, October 11 as Cosby Gibson and Tom Staudle bring the story to life through their original music of folk and blues. Their performance will also include an in-depth history of the development of the canal and how it is operating today.
"With guitar, violin, banjo, harmonica, ukelele and dulcimer, these high-spirited independent artists present heartfelt original acoustic folk and blues," states the Folk Times in a review of the duo.
The public is invited to the 10:30 a.m. Tuesday humanities performances at CCC. The performances are free and held in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre. For more information, call 620-251-7700 ext. 2145 or 2038.
