Anna Stange will share songs, stories and real life artifacts from her travels to South Africa & Lesotho during her visit to the Coffeyville Community College campus on October 4. The program will give participants the opportunity to experience another culture without leaving home.
Discussion centers around themes of both cultural universalities and differences, with hands on investigation of books, clothing, money, instruments and other cultural items from her collection. Folks will experience a traditional Zulu greeting, stories and songs include isi-Zulu and Sesotho phrases.
The public is invited to the 10:30 a.m. Tuesday humanities performances at CCC. The performances are free and held in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre. For more information, call 620-251-7700, ext. 2145 or 2038.
