Kerry Grombacher will be in Coffeyville the week of March 23 as part of the Coffeyville Community College Humanities Project.
Grombacher plays guitar and mandolin and writes and performs contemporary folk and western songs. In the spirit of the troubadours of old, he paints vivid portraits and tells fascinating stories that are set in the landscape where he’s worked and toured. Grombacher is often found at Folk Festivals and Cowboy Poetry Gatherings, singing his songs, playing mandolin as a sideman, and picking in the jam sessions. Join Grombacher for his performance, “Creative Writing in Pop, Country and Hip Hop”.
Grombacher’s tour in Montgomery County will start on Monday, March 23 at Sycamore Landing and Windsor Place Assisted Living before arriving at the Spencer/Rounds Theatre on the CCC Campus at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 24. Grombacher will continue his tour of Coffeyville with Windsor Place, Windsor Place SCU and the Medicalodge of Coffeyville on Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday, March 25, he will entertain residents at Pickwick Place, Asbury Village, and Dale Apartments followed by the students at Caney Valley High School on Thursday, March 26, and the Caney Nursing Center and Guest Home Estates in Caney on Friday, March 27.
The public is invited to the 10:30 a.m. Tuesday humanities performances at CCC. The performances are free and held in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre. For more information call 620-251-7700 ext. 2145 or 2038.
