Kelly Werts will be in Coffeyville the week of March 2 as part of the Coffeyville Community College Humanities Project.
In his program, entitled “Centennial of the Midland Trail Through Kansas”, Werts will sing songs from the early days of the automobile and other road songs as he talks about the historical Midland Trail. The first marked auto route across the United States, the Midland Trail ushered in the era of the automobile in 1914. Kelly will play his guitar as he sings songs about the romance and frustrations of cars, and the restless urge to get out on the road.

Wednesday, March 4, he will entertain residents at Pickwick Place, Asbury Village, and Dale Apartments followed by the students at Caney Valley High School on Thursday, March 5, and the Caney Nursing Center and Guest Home Estates in Caney on Friday, March 6.
