Brenda Hoff will be in Coffeyville the week of February 9 as part of the Coffeyville Community College Humanities Project.
Hoff’s performance will showcase her strong musical background in piano and harp. In high school, Hoff studied piano at the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. As an adult, Hoff became a harpist and performs throughout the Kansas City area. Her large repertoire of different genres of solo music include classical, Celtic, contemporary, romantic, sacred, Christmas and Jewish music.
In her tour throughout the Coffeyville area, Hoff will showcase music from classical composers whose birthdays are in February. Those composers include George Frideric Handel, Felix Mendelssohn, and Leo Delibes. Musical pieces will be performed on the harp.
Hoff’s tour in Montgomery County will start on Monday, Feb. 9 at Sycamore Landing and Windsor Place Assisted Living before arriving at the Spencer/Rounds Theatre on the CCC Campus at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10. Hoff will continue her tour of Coffeyville with Windsor Place, Windsor Place SCU and the Medicalodge of Coffeyville on Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday, Feb. 11, she will entertain residents at Pickwick Place, Asbury Village, and Dale Apartments followed by the students at Caney Valley High School on Thursday, Feb. 12, and the Caney Nursing Center and Guest Home Estates in Caney on Friday, Feb. 13.
The public is invited to the 10:30 a.m. Tuesday humanities performances at CCC. The performances are free and held in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre. For more information call 620-251-7700 ext. 2145 or 2038.
