The Coffeyville Community College Columbus Campus held its annual Tech Day on Friday Jan. 22. Tech Day welcomed area high school students to tour program areas and participate in interactive demonstrations of program activities. The event offered one-on-one interaction with instructors and current students. Prizes and giveaways were handed out during the event.
Thompson Brothers in Coffeyville, KS partnered with Lincoln Electric to bring the VRTEX 360 Arc Welding Simulator the event. Students were able to practice their welding techniques in a simulated environment.
“Events like this are important to show high school students the opportunities CCC has to offer them while they are still in high school or after they graduate” said Kris Adams, Marketing Director. “The hands on experience that Tech Day offers, allows students to really get a taste of the program they are entering in to.”
