The CCC Theatre Department's next production will be "The Great American Trailer Park Musical." The musical will be staged at 7:30 p.m., April 9-12, in the Spencer/Rounds Performing Arts Theatre on the main campus of Coffeyville Community College.
The Great American Trailer Park Musical is a two-act musical, written by David Nehls and Betsy Kelso. It explores the relationships between the tenants at the Armadillo Acres Trailer Park in Florida, particularly between Pippi, "the stripper on the run," the Dr. Phil loving, agoraphobic Jeannie, and Jeannie's tollbooth collector husband, Norbert.
The cast includes Sky Birdcreek (Wichita sophomore) as Pippi, Cassie Wesson (Leavenworth sophomore) as Jeannie, Cooper Smart (Coffeyville sophomore) as Norbert, Dominique Liddell (Kansas City, Kan., freshman) as Betty, Raven Graves (Lawrence sophomore) as Lin, Maddie Stimac (Prairie Village freshman) as Pickles, and Richy Thach (Wichita freshman) as Duke.
The chorus features Bethany Acridge, Valerie Bidwell, Greta Giebler, Aaron Long, Sara Lumm, Dallas Maddox, Ricky Pugh, Megan Woodfield and Denise Yeargans.
The director is Allen Twitchell and the music director is John Gray. The technical director is Chris Cameron and Brianna Spence is the stage manager.
Admission is free. The show is for mature audiences (some profanity and adult situations).
