Daniel Boling is a songwriter with a storyteller’s ear for detail and a balladeer’s turn of phrase. His songs are inhabited by interesting characters drawn from Daniel’s life, family and friends.
Boling's finger-picked guitar and banjitar support a good, clear tenor voice that evokes his characters’ emotions perfectly. His school programs focus on the role of folk music in the Civil Rights and Labor movement. He has released five independent albums since 1999. His songs have been featured on Rich Warren’s “Midnight Special”, NPR’s “Car Talk”, the “Dr. Demento Show” and many other folk-format radio programs throughout the U.S., Canada, Australia, Europe and Israel.
Boling plays full-time now after leaving his career with the National Park Service and US Bureau of Land Management. He has been touring full-time since February 2008 and plays 75-100 shows each year. For more on Daniel Boling visit his website at www.danielboling.com.
