Coffeyville Community College will present auditions for its two spring plays and one musical on December 4-5 at 7 p.m. in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre. Auditions for "The Adventures of Princess Atlantis, the musical" will be held December 4 and auditions are open to any college students, community members, and children ages 7-18 years of age.
The musical is based off the newly published children's book by the same name by Mark Frank. The musical will be directed by CCC Vocal Director John Gray and CCC Theatre Director Mark Frank. Scripts are available by e-mailing [email protected]. There are many roles for children and rehearsals will start in mid-February. Auditions will consist of reading from the script and singing a song of the auditioners choice either with piano or acapella.
On December 5, auditions for two Moliere comedies will take place at 7 p.m. Rehearsals start in January and performances are the first week in February. The play is directed by Bethanie Frank and both one-acts will be in a Reader's Theatre presentation style.
The other audition this same night will be the pro-life/pro-choice drama, "Keely and Du," directed by Mark Frank. Rehearsals for this play will also start in January and will be presented in the first week of May. The Moliere and "Kelly and Du" plays have at least three roles each for male and female parts.
