Miranda Akers, Eta Gamma Chapter’s Vice President of Service elect, was selected as the Coffeyville Community College Phi Theta Kappa member of the month for April. Akers was introduced at the April 22 Board of Trustees meeting and presented with a framed certificate and a parking permit for the Member of the Month parking space.
Akers takes dual credit classes and attends both Oklahoma Union and Coffeyville Community College classes. She will graduate one year early from high school where her activities include National Honor Society, Student Government, FFA, 4-H club, yearbook staff, and FCCLA.
At CCC, Akers is involved with Phi Theta Kappa and cheerleading. Akers' college major is biomedical engineering. Her parents are Sheila White and Jack Akers. Her hobbies include limb line fishing and doing volunteer work through her 4-H club.
