Coffeyville Community College recognized Cecilia Kamau as the April Phi Theta Kappa Member of the Month at their monthly Board of Trustees meeting on April 16. Kamau is from Zambia, Africa and has been a very active member of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. She is currently serving as the International Student Coordinator.
Kamau also serves as the International Student Representative for the Student Government Association, a Student Ambassador and is a tutor in the Student Success Center for Algebra and Accounting. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her college career. She has been accepted to Texas A & M University-Commerce and plans to major in accounting. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, watching movies and yoga.
