The Coffeyville Community College music department is teaming up with the Coffeyville Community Children’s Choir to present a holiday concert on Tuesday evening, November 29 at 7 p.m. in the Spencer/Rounds Theatre on the main campus.
“We are excited to be able to bring this evening of music to the community; not only will it be a fun evening but, it will showcase the talents and efforts of our students and the children’s choir,” said Christopher Langsford, Director of Choral Music.
Performances for the evening will include: "Of the Father’s Love Begotten," "Still, Still, Still," "Swing a Christmas Carol," and "Spaklejollytwinklejingley" (from Elf, the Broadway Musical) to name a few.
Dr. Michael Christensen, Director of Instrumental Music, will be participating in his first Coffeyville Community College holiday concert and is looking forward to seeing it all come together.
“While Mr. Langsford and I work together on various projects, this will be my first time to work with the children’s choir and their director, Mark Gard. I am looking forward to a great evening of fun through various expressions of music.”, said Dr. Christensen.
The concert is open to the public and admission is free.
