Retired Caney, Kansas, physician Dr. Robert Moore and late wife Betty, a former member of the Coffeyville Community College Board of Trustees, will both be honored at the annual Distinguished Alumni and Friends Luncheon during the college’s homecoming week. The luncheon will be held at the CCC Cafeteria on October 7 at 12:30 p.m.
Dr. Moore has been a long-time supporter of the college, and he has served on the CCC Foundation Board since its inception. His wife Betty, who worked as a nurse, served on the CCC Board of Trustees for two terms from 1985 to 1993. Betty passed away the week before Homecomng, but Dr. Moore will be present to accept the award for the couple. Dr. Moore currently lives in Union, Mo., but maintains close ties to the Caney and Coffeyville area.
Reservations to the luncheon are requested by October 3. Reservations can be made by calling Sally Presson at the CCC Foundation at 620-252-7070. The cost is $25 for a couple, or $15 for an individual.
