Coffeyville Community College will begin their fall Adult Education classes on October 23, 2012. Students interested in preparing for the GED (General Education Development) or students desiring to improve their skills before returning to college should take advantage of these classes. Classes are held Monday through Thursday and last six weeks. There are three class periods to choose from: 9 am-Noon, 1 -4 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. The cost of each class is $25 to cover materials, the WorkReady Certificate, Teknimedia Certificate, and Official Practice Test.
Candidates seeking to take the GED should be at least 18 years of age and a resident of the state of Kansas or 16 or 17 years old and obtain a Compulsory School Attendance Disclaimer from an official of the school district in which you live. The Official GED test costs $85 when a student is ready to test. Scholarships are available. Testing is completed at Independence Community College or Labette Community College.
