CCC rodeo team finishes fall semester

The Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Rodeo Team finished the fall semester of rodeos at Alva, Okla. Gable Hilderbrand of Bartlett, Kan. roped with CCC alum Levi Wilson of South Coffeyville, Okla. and finished sixth in the first round (out of 100 teams). The pair then turned in the fastest time of the weekend in the short round to win the event and the average. Michael Bowman of Wann, Okla. also made the top ten in the bull riding event finishing in sixth place. In the regional standings for the semester Cale Markham of Vinita, Okla. is the second ranked team roping-header and Hilderbrand is in tenth place. Also ranked in the top 15 is Ethan Hill of South Coffeyville, Okla. in the calf roping. The team ropers also did very well at the United States Team Roping Championships in October with Joel Nunneley winning $21,000, Hilderbrand collecting over $15,000 and Markham won about $3,500.
