The Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Marketing Team has once again made an impressive mark, winning Gold and Silver at the NCMPR District 5 Medallion Awards for the third consecutive year. The team was awarded Gold in the Promotional Video - Long Form category for their CCC College Decision Day video and Silver for their Game Changer Social Media Campaign, which raised awareness for Community College Awareness Month in partnership with 19 other community colleges last April.
This year’s Medallion Awards consisted of 45 categories, allowing community colleges to submit their most exceptional marketing collateral to compete for awards. While the CCC Marketing Team was notified of the categories they were winning in, they didn’t know their exact placements until the event. CCC Marketing Director Ashley Tatman and Graphics Communications Specialist Candace Morris traveled to St. Paul, Minnesota, at the beginning of October for the NCMPR District 5 Conference to accept their awards.
NCMPR District 5 encompasses eight states: Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and the Canadian province of Manitoba, making the competition particularly fierce.
“I am really proud of our team winning awards this year. I am just blown away that we have taken home awards the last three years. We have a lot of competition that spans across eight states in our district. It is very humbling to compete with some really big community colleges. I have a great team, and we couldn't win any of these awards without their hard work and dedication,” said CCC Marketing Director, Ashley Tatman.
The National Paragon Awards are scheduled to take place in New Orleans in March of 2025. NCMPR’s prestigious Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges, honoring excellence exclusively among marketing and PR professionals at two-year institutions. In 2023-2024, NCMPR received more than 1,500 entries, showcasing the creativity and originality that set winning entries apart in this year’s competition.
