The Coffeyville Community College Fine Arts Department is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Dalton Defender Days Marching Band Festival, taking place on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The event will run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and will feature performances from some of the best marching bands in the region.

With over 600 participants and 12 bands from area schools, including Field Kindley High School, Independence High School, and Caney Valley High School, the festival promises a day of exciting musical performances. Admission is $5 for adults and free for students and children. Concessions will be available throughout the event.

Each band will perform at scheduled times and will be evaluated by a panel of expert adjudicators, including:

• Dr. Frank Tracz, Director of Bands at Kansas State University
• Dr. Jobey Wilson, Pittsburg State University
• Gary McCarty, Percussion Specialist

At the conclusion of the festival, awards will be presented to the top-rated performers in various categories.
