Coffeyville Community College is proud to recognize Ryan Lilja as the 2018 Distinguished Alumnus. Originally from Lake Quivira, Kansas, Lilja graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 2000 where he played football and golf. He attended CCC in 2000-2001 and then transferred to Kansas State University where he focused on finance and marketing from 2002 to 2004.
He was named an Academic All American at KSU in 2004 and was a member of the Big XII championship team. From there, Lilja went on to start in over 100 games with the Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs. He played in two Super Bowls with one win.
Today, Ryan Lilja is a commercial real estate owner and investor. He spends his time in local sports media, volunteering and serving at the board level of various non-profits and community projects. He and his wife, Jessica, currently reside in the Kansas City area and have three children: Annabelle, Mark and Juliette.
Lilja will be honored during a luncheon at 12 noon on Friday, Oct. 12. The luncheon will take place in the Student Union Cafeteria. Reservations will be accepted through Oct 8.
