CCC President’s Message
3/19/2020
Hello Students and Parents.
Thank you in advance for your patience as we walk through this unchartered territory together. The Administrative team is working diligently to make the best decisions for our students, faculty, staff, and the institution.
At this time, we have extended Spring Break through March 27. Our faculty are transitioning a large majority of our courses to an online environment. Beginning March 30th, students will continue to attend classes in an online environment. This will allow students wishing to continue the semester at home the opportunity to do so. We have asked students to check-out of the dorms taking their personal items with them and not return to campus unless advised otherwise by the Director of Student Affairs.
We are trying to accommodate students who need to remain on campus. These students will have the choice to complete classes online or in the classroom with a maximum of 10 people. However, the face-to-face option may be restricted further as this situation evolves.
For ALL students, we are in the process of establishing online tutoring assistance from the Student Success Center. For tutoring assistance, please contact the Student Success Center, [email protected] to make a request for assistance.
Students attending at the Coffeyville or Columbus Technical Campus will tentatively resume face-to-face classroom instruction on Monday, April 13th. Some programs will move to an online format for course lectures and testing. Programs moving to an online format and/or clinical experiences may be rescheduled as available after March 30th.
The Spring 2020 semester may be extended to accommodate the completion of hands on, clinical, and/or internship requirements.
Instructors will communicate with students through a student’s coffeyville.edu email address, [email protected] Students can access their email at the CCC website at this link https://www.coffeyville.edu/student-services/student-e-mail-accounts
We understand this is a challenging and confusing time. We encourage you to reach out to our Student Success Center for assistance if you have questions. Thank you again for your patience during this time. Together, we will get through this. And remember, Once A Raven, Always A Raven!
Sincerely,
Dr. Thornburg
