Hilti donates 40 specialty tools to Columbus construction program

Hilti Corporation, a global leader of value-added, top quality construction products, donated over 40 specialty construction tools to the Columbus Technical Campus of Coffeyville Community College. The donation came from Hilti Corporation in Tulsa, OK. The Hilti contribution includes many industrial quality tools: impact screw guns, hammer drills, line lasers, tri-pods, laser levels, grinders, saws and concrete drilling equipment. The tools will help the students earn their NCCER certifications as they work toward graduation. “It is great to have industry that is willing to support technical education programs”, states Kevin Hunt, Construction Technology Instructor. “We estimate the value of the tools at over $40,000. The quality of Hilti products is exceptional, and usually out of our price range. We feel very fortunate to have been given this donation”. Both the Columbus and Coffeyville Construction Technology programs will benefit from this donation giving students from both campuses the opportunity to use superior quality tools in their workforce training.
