The Coffeyville Community College Foundation will host the 29th Annual Scholarship Endowment Auction on May 3rd at 4:30 p.m. at Nellis West. All proceeds from this event benefit the CCC Foundation endowed scholarships. These scholarships assist students in achieving their educational goals at CCC. Students may receive scholarships for traditional Associates degrees or for hands-on technical training.
More than 50% of CCC students are first-generation college students whose parents did not attend college. More than 90 percent of CCC students receive some form of financial aid to make college possible.
The year’s auction will feature over fifty live auction items, including weekend getaways to Tulsa, Kansas City and the Flint Hills. The auction will also feature a 1983 Dodge Ram Truck, an electric golf cart, a John Deere riding lawn mower, Beneli shot gun, Henry Big Boy rifle, a 42” flat screen TV, a handmade quilt for a double bed and an APHA Paint Mare. Over 300 items will be available for silent auction. The doors will open at 4:30 p.m. with dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the live auction beginning at 7 p.m. The menu is tailgate food including brisket, hot wings, pulled pork and brats. A variety of desserts will also be offered, including cupcakes by Megan Rolls.
The theme for the evening will be “Always A Raven.” The evening will begin at 4:30 p.m. with appetizers served at 5 p.m. and dinner at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
