The 2013 CCC Commencement speaker will be Carl R. Ice on May 11th at 10 a.m. Ice is a CCC alumnus and during his time here earned his Associate in Arts in 1976. He was also the recipient of the Pete Peltzer- Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award in 1975.
Ice continued his education at Kansas State University earning his bachelor degree in industrial engineering. He and his wife, Mary, have two children and currently live in Westlake, Texas.
Ice is the President and Chief Operating Officer at BNSF Railway one of North America’s leading freight transportation companies operating on 23,500 route miles of track in 28 states and two Canadian provinces. At BNSF Ice supervises the day-to-day operations of the company, helping to drive BNSF’s strategies for safety, service, growth, efficiency and technology.
Ice will speak to nearly 200 CCC graduates and their families at Nellis Hall.
