Coffeyville Community College is excited to offer Intro. to Drones starting Nov. 16, at the Technical Campus. Classes will take place Monday evenings and Saturday Mornings.
The short-term course will allow the participants to educate themselves on the basics of drone technology and explore the options that drones offer for the future. The course will teach drone applications, basic regulations and safety, FAA regulations, the consumer drone market, job market opportunities, personal and commercial uses and offer hands-on flying experience and video applications.
With the increasing interest in drone technology, CCC hopes to educate students on how they are being used in everyday life.
“As a teaching institution, we are always looking to provide new training opportunities to those we serve,” said Yvonne Hull, Director of Business and Employee Skills Training. “Drones are being used on a daily basis by the military, local farmer, musician, scientist, retailer, and more. The uses for drones are endless.”
The college will monitor the class and evaluate the need for classes in the future.
