Coffeyville Community College (CCC) will offer an evening class in refrigeration and HVAC. The course will run from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday from September 7 through November 16. This course will provide the opportunity to learn refrigeration principles along with basic electrical/HVAC circuitry and controls. Successful students will have the opportunity to obtain an EPA Refrigeration Certification in addition to some electrical skills. Skills such as electrical, carpentry, lineman and heating and air conditioning construction and service work are in career pathways that are rarely affected by the exportation of jobs. As long as we need schools, offices, manufacturing facilities, etc. we will need skilled men and women to build and maintain these facilities in local communities. For more information about this opportunity and all programs at the CCC Technical Campus including electrical/HVAC, carpentry, machining and more call 620-252-7550.
