Coffeyville Community College (CCC) is offering short courses this semester including Fix Your Own Wreck, National Standards Welding, Blacksmithing and Dietary Manager. Students are invited to bring their own project car to the Fix Your Own Wreck class where they will start to restore or repair the vehicle. This is a hands-on class and students should be prepared to get dirty and have fun learning to repair their own project. One-on-one instruction is provided by John Young. The class is held on Tuesday nights starting September 7 from 6-10 p.m. The National Standards Welding class will including training on several welding processes and instructor, Scott Hammer, will customize the program to individual student needs. This course starts September 7 and runs from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Blacksmithing is a hands-on class taught by Wayne Joplin. This course starts September 15 and runs from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday. A Dietary Manager course will start Friday, September 10 and meet every other Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students must be working with a current dietitian to be eligible for the training.
