The Community Elementary 6th grade class received tuition scholarships to attend CCC after they graduate in 2018.

Registration for the 7th Annual CCC Children’s Summer Theatre Camp will be held June 4th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the CCC administration lobby.

CCC Honors Retirees

Coffeyville Community College honored three retirees on May 8th. Jed Claybrook, Andy Smart and Antoinette Tackkett are all retiring after years of service to the students at Coffeyville Community College.

Coffeyville Community College and Southwire Company are working together to train First Responders for community and plant safety.

Coffeyville Community College is proud to announce that over 250 students are eligible to graduate this spring. The graduation ceremony will take place on May 12th at 10 a.m. in the west gym of Nellis Hall at the CCC campus.

Writer Scott Thomas will be the CCC Graduation Speaker on May 12, 2012. Thomas is a CCC Alumnus and is the son of Sherry Thomas and the late Warren Thomas.

Each year at graduation, the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Coffeyville Community College participates in one of their international Society’s initiatives, Project Graduation.

Due to thoughtful planning, the legacy of Dolretta and Joe Woodard will live on through the Coffeyville Community College Foundation. The Woodard’s left a generous gift through their trust to be endowed by the CCC Foundation. The gift will allow the foundation to scholarship an additional eight students per year.

Cornish to Weave Tales

Cornish’s tour in Montgomery County will start on Monday, April 30th at the Coffeyville Meal Site, Sycamore Landing and Windsor Place Assisted Living before arriving at the Spencer/Rounds Theatre on the CCC Campus at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1st.

Coffeyville Community College Theatre will present the play "Keely and Du" by Jane Martin May 2-4 at 7:30 p.m. The play is free and will be presented in The Spencer/Rounds Theatre.

Coffeyville Community College's Relay for Life Team raised approximately $1,000 for the American Cancer Society by hosting a 5k run on Saturday.

Coffeyville Community College recognized Cecilia Kamau as the April Phi Theta Kappa Member of the Month at their monthly Board of Trustees meeting on April 16.

Highlights of the convention were the Saturday evening banquet, “Celebrating Excellence – Honoring Our Advisors” and the Hallmark Award Gala where Eta Gamma received three international awards.

Phi Theta Kappa will sponsor the Car Show on April 28, 2012 at Walter Johnson Park from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Relay for Life.

The annual CCC Plant Sale has been set for April 20-21 at the CCC Greenhouse.

The sound of music will be in the air on the CCC campus this spring as the music department has announced the dates to three spring concerts.

Coffeyville Community College will host the North American Colleges & Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Judging Conference April 12-14, 2012. With the help of local volunteers and sponsors, CCC will host 13 contests that will test student skills in the agricultural field.

Coffeyville Community College recognized Caitlin Shepard as the March Phi Theta Kappa Member of the Month at their monthly Board of Trustees meeting on March 26th.

CCC Columbus Technical Campus Collision Repair Program has once again received a sizeable donation from 3M.

The Coffeyville Community College Foundation has received donations to fund the Virginia Noble Teaching Scholarship. Mrs. Noble was a longtime Coffeyville resident and a big fan of CCC Arts and Athletic programs.

LaToya Johnson a student at Coffeyville Community College has been named a 2012 Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team Silver Scholar. Latoya Johnson graduated from Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville. She is the daughter of Brishawn Johnson and the late Floyd Johnson.

Members of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Coffeyville Community College participated in the Kansas Region Phi Theta Kappa Convention March 9-11 at the Double Tree Hotel in Wichita. The event saw members of the local chapter receive six first place trophies and numerous certificates of Honorable Mention and Distinguished Recognition.

Coffeyville Community College Instrumental Music Director Jeremy Kirk has started a West African Drum Ensemble this spring.

Members and alumni members of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Coffeyville Community College met February 17-18 for their winter retreat and planning session.

The Coffeyville Community College Theatre Department has announced a pair of children musicals for this summer.
