Dezirae Hamrick Named Phi Theta Kappa Member of the Month

Dezirae Hamrick, a freshman psychology major at Coffeyville Community College has been selected as March Member of the Month by the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.  Dezirae was a recent candidate for the office of Kansas Region Vice President of Correspondence at the organization’s state convention in Lawrence.

Dezirae was a Case Study Challenge and Honors in Action participant.  She also took the C4 initiative and provided leadership to the Mike Still’s Sand Hill Plum Project that raised funds for a water pump for an African village well.

Dezirae is a Five Star Competitive Edge Member, attended chapter officer retreat, Kansas Region Honors in Action Conferences, as well as region convention and district meeting.  Services to the chapter and community included Cupcakes for a Cure, canned food drive, Elk Falls Outhouse Festival Committee, Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat, Operation Christmas Child and the American Red Cross.

Dezirae is the daughter of Mrs. Donna English of Hoyt, Kansas and Dan Hamrick of Dewey, Oklahoma.
