The Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Theatre will present The Last 5 Years by Jason Robert Brown February 8-11. The musical is the winner of Time magazine's top 10 shows of 2001 and won Drama Desk Awards for both Best Music and Best Lyrics. The musical is a sophomore project performed by theatre major, Michelle Bringle from Oswego, Kan. in the lead role of Catherine. Michelle was last seen on stage as Mrs. Potts in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Velma Kelly in Chicago, the musical, The Ghost of Christmas Present in A Christmas Carol, the musical, Ismene in Ismene, and the Prologue Girl in I Swear by the Eyes of Oedipus. Before moving to Chicago to do professional theatre and improvisational comedy Michelle will play the lead role in the Crucible as Elizabeth Proctor in April. She may stick around this summer to do her final show on the CCC stage in The Rocky Horror Show. The other actor in The Last 5 Years is freshman Nick Rush from Goddard, Kan. plays the lead role of Jamie. The understudies are Sarah McConnell from Goddard, Kan. who will perform the role of Catherine for the Sunday matinee. James Hart from Chetopa, Kan. is the male understudy. Julia Cuellar is the stage manager and the accompanist is Kenny Aduddell.  Mark Frank is the Artistic Director of the production. Choreography is being done by Hannah Carter from Goddard, Kan.
