The next nursing program will begin in January 2011.  Applications and other documentation for the program will be accepted from August 1, 2010 until September 30, 2010.

The Coffeyville Community College Nursing Program (CCCNP) requires a cumulative GPA of 2.75/ or a 2.75 cumulated GPA of  the nursing program prerequisites and general education

coursework to make application to the CCCNP.

The Nursing Programs will serve Coffeyville and surrounding communities in Kansas and Oklahoma. Caring, compassion, and competence are central concepts of the Nursing programs. And, the emphasis of the Nursing Programs proposes to integrate the art and science of nursing education and practice with a focus on teaching students to think "how to nurse" and how to take nursing actions to promote, maintain, and restore health for the individual, family, and community throughout the lifespan.

The change in time provides students with the opportunity to complete the LPN and RN program prerequisites and general education courses of: 1) LPN- Anatomy and Physiology, General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and an active CNA certification; RN-all previous LPN prerequisite and general education courses and microbiology, nutrition, intermediate algebra or higher level math, English composition I, public speaking, and introduction to sociology. A medical terminology teaching/learning activity will be included in nursing orientation. The next start date is January 2011.
