"The Rainy Trails" receives six KCACTF Awards

Coffeyville Community College Theatre Department's original production, "The Rainy Trails", based off the book Trails To Coffeyville by Dr. Dusty Delso and Dr. Don Woodburn received three KCACTF Region VI Merit awards and three Irene Ryan Nominations for outstanding performances.

The American College Theatre Festival responders were from Region VI and included Kimberly Weast from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and David Blakely from Roger State University. The three Merit Awards were awarded to Director and Playwright Mark Frank for Commitment to New Plays, Sound Design, and Multimedia Design.

The Irene Ryan nominations were given to Arielle Alan from Wichita for her portrayal of Ah-Mah, Sarah Graham from Coffeyville for her portrayal of Rainy and Justin Kwamee Boateng from Wichita for his portrayal of Cletis. These students will travel to KCACTF Region VI festival which is held next February at Texas State University.  The students will compete for scholarships offered by the American College Theatre Festival.
