Red Raven Native American Leadership Students Complete Ropes Course

The Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Native American Leadership program took 41 of its students including all of the freshmen and most of its sophomores to the ropes course near Cedar Bluff Camp in Coffeyville on Friday.  Students made new friends and bonded as a group through games and then low rope element challenges.  Jack Kerns and Kyle Smith were the facilitators for the day.

The two-year-old Leadership program encourages Native Americans to develop their leadership skills while completing their Associates Degree and looking toward their future goals.  These students listen to guest speakers, fundraise and travel together.  In the past they have helped host the Native American Gathering and Indian Art Market.

Native American Leadership tuition and loan of books scholarships are available for official members of federally recognized tribes.
