CCC offers fire science courses

The Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Emergency Medicine Department will be offering a number of fire science courses this fall.  Fire and Emergency Services Instructor Level-II is a three credit hour class taught Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30-10 p.m. beginning Sept. 9 and ending Oct. 9. 

Building Construction Related to Fire Science is a three credit hour class taught on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30-10 p.m. starting Oct. 14 and ending Nov. 13. 

Fire Origin and Cause, three credit hours, will be taught Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30 to 10 p.m. starting Nov. 18 and ending Dec. 18.  Firefighter I is a five credit hour class that meets Friday evening from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Sept. 5 through Oct. 5.  

Firefighter II is a four credit class taught on Friday evenings from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Oct. 10 and ending Nov. 9.   For more information contact Greta Rexwinkle, Director for Enrollment at 620-251-7700 ext. 2174 or e-mail at gretar@coffeyville.edu.
