2008-2009 theatre season announced at CCC 

The theatre season at Coffeyville Community College (CCC) will start this fall to kick off the 2008-2009 academic year. The Rainy Trails adapted by resident playwright and Theatre Director Mark Frank will be presented September 18-20 at 7:30 p.m. The Native American play is based on the book, The Trails To Coffeyville by Dusty Delso.

The Odd Couple by Neil Simon will be presented October 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Fourth Annual Theatre Scholarship Alumni Dinner Fundraiser. This years show will by Tony and Tina's Wedding by Thomas Allen on November 7 starting at 5:45 p.m. in the CCC Cafeteria. The play will bring back 17 CCC theatre alumni from past years. Tickets are $50 and proceeds go toward CCC Theatre Scholarships.

The fall semester concludes with The Student Directed One-Acts December 3-5 at 7:30 p.m.

The Rubber Chicken Factory Improvisational Comedy Troupe will present eight shows starting at 9 p.m. in the fall on September 15, October 20, November 17, and December 6. The spring performances will be January 24, February 9, March 9, April 24.

In the Spring, CCC Theatre will present A Readers Theatre production yet to be announced, February 5-7 at 7:30 p.m. The Blood of Women, an original play based on the life of Elizabeth Bathory by resident playwright Venessa Freeman will be presented.  On March 5-7 at 7:30 p.m., Mother In A Bottle, a one-man show written and performed by Mark Frank will be featured.

The Producers, the musical by Mel Brooks, will be presented April 15-20 at 7:30 p.m. and Death of A Salesman by Arthur Miller, April 30-May 2 at 7:30 p.m. concludes the spring schedule.

The summer season will begin with The Further Adventures of Curious George, June 25 at 4:30 p.m. and presented by CCC's Theatre Camp and Disney's The Jungle Book will be the featured performance for Children's Summer Theatre July 30 through August 2.

Other fine arts offerings will be a vocal concert by Torey Smart on October 10th at 7:30 p.m., Grave Expectations by Pete Walterscheid on October 24 at 7:30 p.m., Community Choir Concert on November 21 at 7:45 p.m., CCC Choir Concert on November 23 at 3 p.m., and the CCC Band Concert on November 24 at 7:30 p.m.
