Season tickets available for pick up on Oct. 27

Coffeyville Community College basketball boosters with a season ticket package can pick up those tickets beginning on Oct. 27 according to Jana Kastler of the College.  Tickets can be picked up from Kastler at the College Alumni Center on the corner of 10th and Willow in Coffeyville.  The Alumni Center is open from 8:00 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Boosters can either pick up the tickets at Kastler's office or they can use the drive through window on the north side of the Alumni Center.  The Red Ravens' home opener is November 4 with NEO as the opponent.

Every season, the Coffeyville Community College women's basketball program has the goal of seeing every sophomore move on to a four year institution.  This year, they met the goal with one hundred percent success.

Lacie Ward, Asaiah Lowe, and Syeeda Echols, the only three sophomores on the 2007-2008 Red Raven squad, have each signed letter-of-intents to continue their careers.  Ward signed with Southern Illinois University, Lowe with Henderson State, and Echols with Lyon College. [more]

Ward named first team all-conference, Green selected for second team

Sophomore Lacie Ward was named to the KJCCC All-Conference first team and was also selected first team All-Region.  Ward led the Ravens in scoring with 13.3 points per game.  She also shot 39% from three-point range.  Freshman Taja Green was named to the second team All-Conference Team and was also selected honorable mention All-Region.  Green averaged 10.4 points and a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game last season.

Lady Ravens wrap up third straight conference title

With the Lady Ravens 92-71 win over Labette on March 1, they earned at least a share of the KJCCC conference title.  The Ravens, 15-3 in conference play, have won three straight conference championships.  In five years with Emily Washburn as head coach, the Ravens have won four conference titles.

Washburn gets 100th career win with Lady Ravens victory over  Seward County

Emily Washburn earned her 100th career win on November 9 with the Ravens 71-68 win over Seward County at the Barton County Classic in Great Bend, Kansas.  Washburn is in her fifth season as head coach of the women's basketball program. [Seward County-Coffeyville Box]
