Women's team places second at season opening tournament

The Red Raven women's golf team opened the 2008-2009 season with a 27-hole KJCCC Designated Tournament hosted by the Atwood Country Club in Atwood, Kansas.  The Ravens placed second as a team with a 27-hole team total of 598.

Dodge City won the tournament with a 553 total and Dodge City was third with a team total of 612.  Barton County, Pratt and Independence also had golfers competing, but did not have enough to record a team total.

Sophomore Hannah Harrison was the top individual finisher for the Ravens.  Harrison shot a 50 on the opening nine, and followed up with an 89 on the final 18 holes for a 27-hole total of 139.  Other scores for the Ravens were:

Emily Walker, 52-95-147.
Hannah Harrison, 49-100-149.
Anna Hill, 52-111-163.
Brittany Roper, 57-107-164.

The women return to action on September 25-26 at the William Jewell Invitational in Liberty, Missouri.
