Rocky RestivoRestivo named Head Cheer Coach

When former Red Raven Head Cheer Coach Jeff Snow left CCC following the 2007-2008 school year, the college did not have to look far for a replacement. Rocky Restivo, who was originally hired as the Assistant Cheer Coach last spring, was recently appointed Head Cheer Coach.

Restivo has a B.B.A. degree from Pittsburg State University and an A.A. degree from Fort Scott Community College. He cheered at Pittsburg State for five years, including a couple of seasons following the completion of his bachelor’s degree while he was working on a graduate program. He was named captain his final year at Pittsburg. [more]

The Red Raven cheer and dance teams can be seen in action at most home and road games for football and basketball.  The enthusiastic support they provide for the college helps make CCC a great environment for success.

Both teams will perform at Raven football and basketball games and in numerous competitions and performances through the nation.  The CCC cheer and dance members also work with many community organizations and host annual youth clinics.

Graduates of CCC's cheer and dance programs have gone on to cheer or dance at many prestigious universities including Connecticut, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Wichita State, Northwest Missouri and Stephen F. Austin.
