Restivo named Head Cheer Coach
Rocky Restivo was named Head Cheer Coach on June 17. He served as an
assistant during the Spring 2008 semester. Additional biographical

Lowe, and Echols sign with four year schools
Every season, the Coffeyville Community College women's basketball
program has the goal of seeing every sophomore move on to a four year
institution. This year, they met the goal with one hundred percent
success.
Lacie Ward, Asaiah Lowe, and Syeeda Echols, the only three sophomores
on the 2007-2008 Red Raven squad, have each signed letter-of-intents to
continue their careers. Ward signed with Southern Illinois
University, Lowe with Henderson State, and Echols with Lyon College. [more]
Football home opener set for August 30
The Darian Dulin era will officially begin on August 30 when the Red
Ravens host Navarro, Texas in the home and season opener for the Ravens.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium. [2008

Johnny
Weil accepts Head Rodeo Coach position
Edna, Kansas, native Johnny Weil has accepted the
head rodeo coach position at Coffeyville Community College and begins
the task of rebuilding a program that went on hiatus for a year
following the July 2007 flood that devastated the rodeo arena at Walter
Johnson Park in Coffeyville.
“I’m looking at building the program from the
ground up,” said Weil. “We may have a couple of people carrying over
the previous rodeo team, but for the most part it will be new and

Nellis
Hall court named in honor of Jay Herkelman
The Nellis Hall court now has a name - the Jay Herkelman Court.
The court was formally named after current men's basketball head coach
Jay Herkelman. at a dedication ceremony on January 26.
The idea was originated by two Coffeyville basketball boosters, Max
Williams and Monte Coffman. Last fall, both men approached the CCC
Board of Trustees who agreed it was time to recognize the achievements
of Jay Herkelman in prestigious fashion. [more]
