Pete WalterscheidWalterscheid named Distinguished Alumnus for 2008

Coffeyville Community College (CCC) will honor 1972 graduate Pete Walterscheid at the annual Distinguished Alumni Luncheon on Friday, October 24.

Pete Walterscheid attended local schools graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1970.  He graduated from Coffeyville Community College with a pre-pharmacy curriculum in 1972.  While attending CCC, he served as student government president, was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, National Forensics Society, and was drum major of the Red Raven band under the baton of Jim Criswell. Lue Barndollar and Cliff BaleBarndollar and Bale honored at retiree dinner

Coffeyville Community College honored two former faculty members, Lue Barndollar and Cliff Bale at the second annual Wall of Honor Dinner held September 19.  Guests enjoyed a social hour, dinner and a program as they honored Barndollar and Bale for their contributions to the college, community and most of all, the students. [more]

Curtis HarshawHarshaw named Distinguished Alumnus for 2007

Coffeyville Community College (CCC) will honor 1963 graduate, Curtis K. Harshaw, at the annual Distinguished Alumni Luncheon on Friday, October 20. 

Harshaw was born in 1943 in Coffeyville, Kan. and raised on a farm near Liberty, Kan.  He earned his associates degree from CCC in 1963.  He is one of a family of Red Raven alumni as his mother, Betty Logan Harshaw graduated from CCC in 1939, his wife, Janice Walters Harshaw graduated in 1964 and his sister, Linda Harshaw Summers graduated in 1965. [more]

Burl and Earl Wood named 2006 Distinguished Alumni

Burl and Earl WoodCoffeyville Community College (CCC) honored two Ravens at the annual Distinguished Alumni Luncheon on Oct. 27.  Burl and Earl Wood grew up on a dairy farm in Cabool, Mo.  According to the book by Raul David Campbell, Always a Raven, in high school Burl was a 175 pound fullback and linebacker while Earl was a 145 pound, injury-prone, left-handed quarterback who walked with a limp because his left leg was badly broken during his junior year.
