Distinguished Alumni Luncheon

The Distinguished Alumni Luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 24, in the CCC Cafeteria on the main campus of Coffeyville Community College. Reservations are required for the luncheon. Please call Sally Presson at 620-252-7070 for more information. This year's honoree is Coffeyville pharmacist Pete Walterscheid.

Lettermen's Hall of Fame Banquet

The annual Hall of Fame banquet will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008, at 1 p.m. in the CCC Student Union. The cost is $15 per person or $25 a couple. This year's honorees are:

George Miller, center, 1946-47.
Ed Parker, All-American fullback, 1959.
Gary Jamison, All-American lineman, 1962-63.
Earl Woods, linebacker, 1962-64.
David Christie, linebacker, 1975-76.
Wendell Davis, defensive back, 1991-92.
Luke Yarnell, offensive lineman, 1992-93.

Tailgate Party

You’ve had all summer to practice and now it is time to win some cool prizes with your skills at the grill! Bring your best recipe and all your Raven Spirit on Saturday, Oct. 25 to the annual Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Tailgate Party. The party will kick off the Homecoming Game for the Red Ravens. Turn on the grills and dress the part starting at 5 p.m. in the Veterans Memorial Stadium parking lot. Judges will be touring the lot looking for the Best Burger, Most Spirited Raven and the Best Tailgate Decorations. Coffeyville’s own KKRK-FM 98.9 will rock the party with plenty of great tunes and gifts. Tailgate winners will be announced during halftime of the Raven Football game. Hog Fry

The Coffeyville Community College (CCC) Native American Leadership Association will host a Hog Fry on October 25, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium Parking Lot. The dinner will precede the final home football game for the Red Ravens. Dinner includes pork, beans, fry bread and a drink. Tickets are being sold now for $8. All proceeds from this event will go toward travel expenses for the students.
