How do I enroll into Online classes?

 

1.  Complete application for admission.  (Needs to be completed only once prior to first class(es) attempted.

 

2.  Complete enrollment process.

A. You may register for class(es) online from our website at www.coffeyville.edu under the “Raven Access” link. “Raven Access” instructions can be found on the “Online Class” link on our website.  If you are a first time enrollee, you must contact Brad Weber, Director of Distance Learning (620-252-7076, bradw@coffeyville.edu) to activate your account.

B. Once semester term begins, enrollment can only be completed by contacting Brad Weber, Director of Distance Learning (620-252-7076).

3.  When you will gain access into the course.

If enrollment in online course(s) is completed prior to the start of the semester, you will gain access into your course on the first day of the term or scheduled course date.  You will not be allowed into the class before the start of the semester or course start date.  Students who enroll after the start of the semester need to allow 1-2 business days after enrollment is completed before access to courses through WebCT will be granted.

4.  Pay tuition/fees for your course(s).

Pay tuition/fees for your course(s).  Contact the Business Office at 620-252-7007 or pay online from the CCC web site at www.coffeyville.edu.

5.  Order textbooks for your course(s).

Order textbooks at, http://store.ravenbooknook.com/index.html, or by calling 620-252-7555, or by stopping by the CCC Bookstore on the main campus. (Textbooks for online classes only. Students on scholarship, Pell grant or other financial aid must purchase textbooks in-person at the CCC Ravens Bookstore.)

How do I log into my Online class(es)?

 

  1. Go to www.coffeyville.edu.   
  2. Click on the Online Classes link on the homepage, then click on the WebCT link to the right.  
  3. After clicking on the log-on to WebCT link, enter username (first initial + middle initial + last name) ex. John Q. Doe =  jqdoe.  
  4. Enter password.  If this is your first login, the password is the same as the username (first initial + middle initial + last name).  If you have previously taken an online course at CCC, the password was not reset and you will need to use your previous password.  If you have forgotten your password, please contact your instructor or the WebCT administrator at bradw@coffeyville.edu.  
  5. All classes you are enrolled in will be displayed.  
  6. Select the course you wish to begin working on.  
  7. Navigate throughout the class, read the syllabus and view assignment schedules.

If you are having difficulty accessing your course, please contact the WebCT administrator at bradw@coffeyville.edu immediately.

What are my WebCT log-in credentials?

We will use the student John Q Doe as an example;

Webct ID = jqdoe

When you go to log-into your online classes you will be asked to provide a Webct ID and Password. The Webct ID will be the equivalent of your first initial of your first name combined with the first initial of your middle name and you full last name. For example John Q Doe would equal jqdoe, all lower case no spaces or hyphens. We do get the occasional student who does not list a middle name or middle initial during the enrollment process. In those instances we would simply use the first initial of the first name and full last name.

Password= jqdoe (for first ever log-in into the system)

For the first time log-in into our online class software the password will be the same as your Webct ID, first initial of first name combined with first initial of middle name and full last name. Once you have logged-in the first time you will be prompted to change your password to one of your choice. Passwords must be at least 4 characters long with no spaces or hyphens and is case sensitive. The passwords do not reset from semester to semester. If you have forgotten your password contact Brad Weber, Director of Distance Learning at bradw@coffeyville.edu to have reset.

How do I know what classes are being offered?

 

All upcoming online courses can be viewed from our web site, www.coffeyville.edu.  Once inside the "online class" link, follow the link for "available classes" to the upper left to see what classes are available and upcoming.

What is the 25% completion rule?

 

Each of our online classes has a 25% completion deadline. This policy states that the student must have 25% of the individual course material completed by a certain date during the course. Failure to comply with this policy will result in the student being administratively dropped from the class. If this drop happens after refund dates, no refund will be given. Contact your online instructor to see what they define as 25% for their individual class along with the date associated with that completed material.

How do I view my class schedule and/or an unofficial transcript?

 

You may view all student service information on our campus by logging into our "Raven Access" system.  Instructions for how to log into Raven Access are as follows:

 

To login to ACCESS, you must first have an account.

 

User Name: Student ID

Password: Student PIN

 

By default, your Student PIN will be the last four digits of your Social Security Number. Please change your password immediately after you have logged in for the first time.

 

If your password needs to be reset, please email ACCESS@coffeyville.edu.
